Variety Information:
- Blenheims are tender, aromatic, and sweet apricots that can be enjoyed fresh, dried, or even canned.
- California's first choice is apricots.
- Low chill hours, good choice for milder climates.
- Among the most popular apricots but is not as winter hardy as other varieties.
- The tree is early to bloom and produces good all-purpose fruit with excellent flavor.
- Self-fruitful.
- Needs well-drained, moderately fertile soil.
- Thin fruit early in the season to maximize size and quality.
- By pruning, you can keep your tree at any height.
- USDA Grow Zones 5-10, 400 chill hours. Grows best in zones 7-9.
- Protect when temperatures fall below 0°F.
- Approximate harvest period (for Central CA): June/July.

What is a Bare Root Fruit Tree? A Bare root fruit tree is a 2-3 year old fruit tree which has been dormant for the winter. It is delivered to you without soil. The best time to plant bare root fruit trees is the end of the winter season. This gives your tree time to acclimate to it's environment before the warmth of spring comes.
