Bare root fruit trees are here!

12/20/2025- We received our first delivery of bare root fruit trees! Jorge and his team have been busy sorting and allocating them before the holiday break.

Every year during the fall and winter, we offer deciduous fruit trees like apple, pear, Asian pear, cherry, peach, nectarine, plum, pluot, apricot, jujube, multi-budded, and persimmon varieties. On our website, we sell them as pre-ordered items, and then ship them to homes starting in January. This gives us time to sort through the inventory and ensure everything looks healthy and in good condition. While the mail-order trees are sorted, a portion of the trees that are sold via wholesale are transferred into pots with soil. The planting team has been doing this for a long time, and they are very quick and efficient planters. The team will have hundreds of trees potted up in a matter of days!

FAQ: What are bare root fruit trees? They are deciduous fruit trees that are dug up in the early winter and sold without soil or a pot. The idea is that you plant your bare root fruit tree in the winter, before it breaks dormancy in the early spring. The benefits of planting a bare root fruit tree are numerous, including digging a smaller hole, easier root acclimation into the soil, and a wider selection available in winter. If you have not planted a bare root fruit tree by spring, the option is only the potted fruit trees, because bare root trees must be planted before they break from dormancy. (click here to read 6 Reasons to Plant a Bare Root Fruit Tree)
