Dwarf Citrus Size and Lifespan

Four Winds Dwarf Citrus can live a lifetime, given proper care. Trees planted in the ground have been productive up to 50 years. It is easier to grow them in the ground; then no transplanting is needed. For best results in containers, refresh the soil or move to a larger pot every 12-16 months.

Dwarf Citrus will average 8-10' tall. Some varieties like Eureka Lemon will get taller unless pruned.

Louis XIV, who lived from 1638-1715, ruled France from the Chateau de Versailles. The glass house orangerie there still has citrus in containers. Some of them are hundreds of years old!
